"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you
will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." -
Psalm 91:4
Many times we feel trapped in our struggles as if there's no way
out and no way for anyone else to get in. It's a lonely (and sometimes
terrifying) place to be. Crazy diagnoses, loss of family/friends, feeling
ripped away from all that you know, plans going awry, and the list could go on
and on and on. The PROMISE to hold onto during every single struggle is that
God is in control through it all - we are in His hands and He is not going to
let go, no matter what happens. Psalm 91:4 says, "He will cover you with his
feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be
your shield and rampart." The visual of that is so stunning and such a
comfort.
For the believer, all that happens is for the glory of
God - even our struggles - I think so that we turn to Him in complete surrender
and abandon, giving Him control and seeking Him in the next steps.
I first heard this song at the SBC Annual Meeting and it
has been popping up here and there since, ministering greatly to me ... and I
hope will to you as well. Hang in there, God's got you!
